Fourth of July- Hot, muggy and out of control!

I remember clearly how special last year was. Lexi was only 7 months old and we went downtown to watch the fireworks. We sat on the edge of the street while lexi sat on daddy's lap. The fireworks were load and amazing and Lexi sat quietly in amazement and i clearly remmeber to this day thinking that at that very moment, "this was the life".
This year clearly paints another picture, and not that i am not thankful for my beautiful family, it was just a day not planned as expected. It was hot and muggy and I am 7 months pregnant. We couldn't get Lexi to calm down, of course it was our fault that we forgot the stroller and didn't bring any juice or snacks to contain a full blown toddler.Daddy thought it was a good idea to just throw Lexi over his shoulder but that didn't help any. She wanted to run and be free. When we let her free she would go and bug the other kids. Touching their bellies and eyes. She sat next to this little girl and started barking/screaming at her LOL. Gawd, she was out of control. Thee fireworks really didn't amuse her either. Ahhh, maybe next year will be different. Maybe she will be old enough to understand a little more.Even though if i could i would keep her 18 months forever.Happy Birthday America!
