A Birthday Fit For a Prince.

I hope my son forgives me for the God awful amount of sugar on that fondant cake.  I had to do a separate photo session with him since the lightning at his party was very dim. As you may have read, my last child turned 1 years old a few days ago. On his birthday we took him to a local water park where he splashed around with all the other big kids for at least an hour and a half. We know he enjoys that place so much and all the big kids love playing with him so we knew this park was perfect for his day. The following day we celebrated his "party" at a Go-cart center. It was the first time I ever hosted a child's birthday party. I think I did pretty well and kept costs low. I decided not to buy him  any gifts  since he has plenty of toys at home including those of his big sisters'. I know my husband was a little shocked when he saw the cake I brought home. He was puzzled and  with a grunt he said, " this is a wedding cake"! I told him, "well, these types of cakes are trending with kids right now" [ BIG SMIRK] and I continued to explain to him that Adrian is my last baby and we decided we are no longer going  to have any more children( this is definite);  SO therefore, I am going to make  his first birthday special for ALL of us! I must say, It was a great day indeed. Everyone at the party had a good time. My parents and family had nothing but similes on their faces and to see them smile and happy makes me happy.  I have yet to give my daughter a big party, so I promise to make it a special day for her 3rd birthday this coming December.

Happy Birthday Adrian -- 1 years old

“If ever there is tomorrow when we're not together.. there is something you must always remember. you are braver than you believe, stronger than you seem, and smarter than you think. but the most important thing is, even if we're apart.. I'll always be with you.” -Winnie the pooh.

On September 3rd, 2010 God blessed our family with a beautiful and healthy baby boy. Adrian didn't have a name until the very last day I was discharged from the hospital. On his tags, hospital web sight and paper work his name was " Baby Boy Salas".  My husband and I debated and argued until we compromised on a name neither of us ever gave thought too. While on the phone from the hospital, I urged my husband to come to an agreement with me on a name because the record keepers at the hospital kept pestering me   and that's when my husband thought of the name Adrian....  I thought it was perfect. Typing here I can still smell his new baby soft skin and that weird plastic hospital smell that consumed the warm room I was in. When I saw him in hit little crib container, I thought he was perfect.Today my son Adrian turns 1 years old and I love him very dearly

Month 9- In Our Final Months

We are in our final months before Adrian is no longer a baby. A few short days ago my little Chunk turned 9 months old. His MonthDays ( Not Birthdays) are finally winding down, and he is soon going to loose those chunky features and his baby cries will be no more. By the way, Baby VS toddler cry's are very distinctive. But not right now. Today he is my big chunky " gordito panson tamalon" and I just love to squeeze his pork rolls to bunches. He is changing a little more every day. I can tell he is becoming more vocal and more aware of who I am as a primitive figure. He knows so many different words but mommy is definitely his favorite. I never thought in a million years I would be a mommy and here I am wishing mine would stay forever young. From the moment he was born I just thought he was so perfect in every way. The way he responded to me and quickly adjusted to me those first few days, I couldn't have asked for a more delightful and pleasant newborn.
