"Let loose of what you can't control. Serenity will be yours"

Excellent article on Letting Go Uncontrollables and Unchangeables. These are a few photos that make me think of peace or "letting go". The sunset photo was from our  very last sunset at the Lake. I think that is my most favorite part, the moment where the sun touches the water. It's such a glory of nature seeing the Sun; the  provider of life and energy being so vulnerable. Next year I will have to focus on photographing sunsets at the beach. My little girl was memorized by the sunset and couldn't stop jumping up and down " It's going down, it's going down"!! While clapping her hands. I live near the lake-shore by the way. The worst of it is when we get hit by the snow lake affect in the winter. I can't begin to describe to you how much I am dreading the thought of another winter.

"If you are humble nothing will touch you, neither praise nor disgrace, because you know what you are"  - Mother Teresa

I want to share a colorful article with you called, "How Your Mind Is a Beautiful Garden".  The article entails the importance of transforming anger and self-negation into acceptance and generosity through meditation. It's a nice read if you have the time. The photos I am sharing tonight are some of my favorite iPhoneagraphy shots. I've said it once and I'll say it again, you don't need a fancy camera to capture the moment; just like a baker doesn't need a fancy oven to showcase her best recipes.  I remember being at the Sams club parking lot when I shot these photos. There was a tornado warning that day and the clouds were very low. Luckily, there was no tornadoes, just typical Mid-Western weather. These photos also describe my sentiment for the week. It started off on a very low and discouraging note due to a negative attitudes from others,  however, it all quickly  ended in clarity and triumph on my end which is why I particularly chose the Mother Theresa quote.
I have a strong appreciation for nature and all that it offers, and I am certain most of you out there do You should really check out "Moms Clean Air Force", a web page designed to combat air pollution through organization. I also want to say a special thank you to my new followers for your support in reading and following me. I am a little new with networking, so I will eventually make my round to your blog once I am settled a bit.

We ♥ Summer!

The month of July has been very fulfilling and has not  disappointed! I know it's been a good month because I have taken a total of 1500 photos in two weeks. This does not include photos from my iPhone. I am trying to make the best of each and every day, especially for the summer since us Mid-West folks never see the sun. I love everything about summer. I love the hot summer weather, I love our time as a family at these summer festivities and most of all we love the Beach! If you live in a state where you have nothing but warm and sunshine, consider yourself SO LUCKY.
My hubby and I are leaving on vacation very soon, it will be my first time leaving both my children- EVER! I am so scared and nervous.I have NEVER been one day apart from my children. The vacation I will go on will be pretty exciting and of course, I will be happy to report much photos. Hint of where I am going: It's a place very BRIGHT.  The photos above are from some of my favorites events in the summer.

Hope Floats

I have come to the conclusion that this blog is not doing justice to my photos, at least not to the latitude of how I want to show them. The relationship between my camera and I is slowly becoming less of a somber and more of a love affair, sorta. My long affair with photography dates way back when using  film  was the norm, and the dark room was every day life. There was no light room or Photoshop,   and processing was something you acutally had to put time and effort into, not like today where these incredible presets automatically enhance your photos in seconds, making the average person's work look like Liberachi! . Anywho, don't you just love the sight of air balloons? They are so enchanting.

SAHM Office trends

I usually don't buy much things on Ebay but lately I have been eying useless items that would look nice in my office, Oh, that is my SAHM office! Which consists of my laptop, Iphone, coffee maker, sketching pens, paints, watercolors. The hubby is going to build me a little shelf where I am going to put a collection of all the vintage cameras Ive been buying on Ebay. Right now, I am looking into buying a older model Canon from the 70's. Here is a photo of one of them. They seem to be selling around 50.00 bucks. isn't  it beautiful?

Next, I saw these absolutely adorable exchange cards on Etsy. They are like business cards only these you exchange with other mothers in the play grounds for play dates. What a great idea. I am always meeting moms from all walks of life in out little excursions.
